Not all, but some SD Duplicates are still showing after I hid them in Settings and Preferences. The one that I really want to get rid of showing is Ch 2 in SD. The others are further down in the guide. I've contaccted Tech Support and they gave me the same information on how to hide the SD Duplicates. It didn't help. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks. Geni DVR and a HR23 DVR Recordings
We have a Geni DVR and a HR23 DVR. What is great is that the geni tells you what series and episode it is,recoreded, but our HR23 doesn't. Would anyone know, if the HR23 needs an update, to have this option, or, some other reason?
DVR won't automatically record Nascar on Fox.
I have NASCAR Racing to record on 26 KMPH as the number 1 item in my series manager but it won't record automatically. Series options are set to Type: All Keep at Most: 5 Recordings Keep Until: Disk is Full. The races show up in "Other Showings" but will not record automatically. I also have NASCAR Racing set to record on ALL CHANNELS but the Fox races don't record. They do show up on the upcoming episodes list but no recording. What am I doing wrong? All the episodes on Fox Sports 1 and 2 record, just not the stuff on regular Fox.
Genie not recording all series episodes
Since DTV started labeling the season and episodes, I am now noticing that on 60% of my series, there are missing episodes. There will be episode 12, 13,15. Somehow 14 did not get recorded. There is never an occurrence that there are too many recording requests. Sure I can download them (sometimes), but that is not as elegant. Any ideas?

HD DVR HR-22 Black out and audio muting
I have the hd dvr hr-22. While watching recorded shows the picture blacks out or the audio mutes or both or the picture start to pixelate. I am not sure if it is happening on the shows I recorded 6 months ago as I have not checked that. Over the past 4 or 5 weeks the recent recordings are showing this problem Is there a solution for it? What can you suggest to fix this?
THR22 (TiVo) not seeing VOD content (Channels 1202-1889)
I'm posting this to find out if this problem affects all THR22 DVRs, or just mine. I'm seeing no content on Channel 1889.
Model: THR22-100, Software Version: 01B5, Service Map Version: 22 TIVOPVR SpigotMap.
Everything was working fine through 11/05. But since Thursday, 11/06, Channel 1889 shows only one single episode.

HR24-500 slow, laggy, unresponsive
Getting this same adventure on 3 HR24-500s I have. HR24-200 and Genie HR34 all working fine. Guide takes literally minutes to load. Change channel can sometimes take many, many seconds. It is so frustrating. Had to be a software update, see postings about it on dbstalk. What can be done?!? Insane this have been going on for like a couple months now. Why isn't it fixed yet?
Default HD format on DVR
When a DVR stores a program, is there a Default Format that it is stored at? I know in the past SD took up less room than HD. Is 720p more or less than 1080i?
Why can't I pause DirecTV Cinema movies and come back to watch rest of movie at another time?
Recently have been having problem with DirecTV Cinema movies. Usually record movies to watch when I have time. But now, if I need to pause and come back later, the movie will only restart and it won't let me fast forward to get back to where I left off. Is there any solution for this problem, besides the obvious one which is to only watch movies on streaming services?
Lip synch trouble only on playback
I was watching a movie on live TV, and lip sync was fine. Part way through the movie, I had to leave for a few hours. When I came back, I started playing back the recorded movie and lip sync was off. This has happened a few times recently. I rewound the recording, and lip sync was off during the beginning of the movie too although it was not out of sync when I watched it live. I have an HR-21. Is my dvr going bad? Is there an easy fix? It only happens sometimes, but it never happened before a couple weeks ago. It never happens during live tv, only a recording.
HR34-700 has a playback issue when I record on a specific station and time.
HR34-700 has a playback issue when I record on a specific station at a specific time. Friday evening 8:00PM until about 9:30PM when ever I record the programing on my local CBS station the playback is almost unwatchable It is choppy, digitized and skips forward. If I record the 9PM time slot for about the first half hour it does it then stops. I record a lot of shows and many from this same station st different times but if only seems to happen on Friday night at 8. If I watch live it's not there, only when I playback a recording. Anyone else ever seen this and is there anything I can do to fix it?
Genie "Record Season" -- why's it pick the other teams's broadcast?
I have my HR44 seup to Record Season for the Colorado Rcokies. It seems to almost invariably pick the opponent's version of the broadcast. Is there any way to force it to record the Rockies broadcast?

I am needing to know if I start using an hd dvr box that my mom paid for, will I be charged monthly and if so how much? And would that be per room (she has 2 she no longer uses)? I currently have a standard box with no dvr. Thank you
HR44 Fast Forward
I just replaced an overheating hr44. My previous dvr would stop approximately 15 seconds before the time I selected when fast forwarding. The replacement stops up to 2 minutes before. I've restarted the dvr and don't see any other posts with similar issues. Before I call DTV tech support are there any settings or codes I can use so I don't to have fast forward the same section 2-3 times?

50 Series Recording Limit on HD DVRS
I've been a DirecTV user for many years. I joined and searched this forum to check into the apparent 50 series recording limit for the DirecTV HD DVRs. But after doing a search on the forum and seeing numerous threads on this subject it seems like every thread where this was mentioned has had the replies censored or locked to prevent further discussion. One can't even read the old replies to see what the discussion was. Seems like a pretty blatant attempt by the mods to shut this discussion down, especially since this is one of the main criticisms of the DirecTV branded HD DVRS that are still commonly in use. On top of that, the forum software used on this site is the most unintuitive and difficult to use I have ever seen online. Wish I had something positive to say but I'm really disappointed by what I see here.
2 huge questions
1. I have recorded grays on Thurs night for the last 11 years. On thursday, April 30th, it was a 2 hour season finale and it only taped 1 hour and now i can not get the last hour to see what happened. HELP
2. on my play list the first thing that apprears is says RECENTLY WATCHED ON DEMAND. know idea what that is and it won't let me delete. HELP
Why is my THR22 not seeing all On Demand titles?

but I get an error when replying to it -- so I'm starting a new thread... this has gone on long enough anyway...
Both of my THR22's are only showing a few episodes on each On Demand channel -- and it's been happening since November. They are also not showing any of the networks -- no 1002 for CBS, 1004 for NBC, 1007 for ABC (they just aren't there -- "channel unavailable") -- I am seeing 1011 for FOX, but I've only got 4 episodes.
I haven't had time to really mess with this, but I'm getting really sick of it. I called DirecTV in December and they said "they were aware of the issue" and that a new firmware update would be out in a week to fix it. Nothing. Called again in February, and they had no clue, but said they'd put in a trouble ticket. About 3 weeks ago I decided to do a "Clear and delete everything" to reset the unit to factory settings -- not only did I lose all my settings and saved recordings, it didn't fix the issue. I called DirecTV back up and they said "We've had this issue on some of the Genies -- first time I've heard about it on the THR22's, but I've submitted a new trouble ticket and we've got this new system so that you are kept in the loop and will have a resolution within a week" -- I got the confirmation that they submitted a ticket -- but no follow up. Issue still remains.
This is absolutely unacceptable! I realize that the THR22 is essentially an orphan box that DirecTV wishes they never had to deal with, release or support (it only happened due to a legal settlement with Tivo) -- but that's absolutely no excuse. I have been a DirecTV subscriber for 15 years, had the "original" DirecTV Tivos, also paid $999 for a HR10-250 HD Tivo in 2004 (that DirecTV abandoned a couple years later), and was first in line for these boxes and actually "upgraded" to them from my HR20's because I like the Tivo software which is just "smoother and comfortable" -- even if this box doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the DirecTV in-house software boxes or even the newer Tivos, I just prefer them -- and at this point if this isn't resolved reasonably fast, I'll be changing providers simply for the principal of the thing. I like DirecTV since they have all the HD feeds of the movie channels -- but I can get my preferred DVR -- and the newest version of it at that (the Tivo Roamio) -- with Comcast.
So if anyone at DirecTV is reading this, PLEASE update us on the status of this! The On Demand on the THR22 broke completely for a few months when these boxes were first released in early 2012 -- but they issued a firmware update that resolved this (it took about 6 months IIRC). There IS an issue with the firmware and how it downloads the On Demand lists -- I imagine the reason you don't hear about this all the time is because of just how rare these boxes are. They probably want everyone to get Genies -- but that's NOT an excuse!!

I am having trouble with my screen freezing with one receiver, audio continues, and then screen then catches back up.
This is a HR24/200 Receiver. This happens on all channels and happens every 5 to 10 minutes. Any suggestions on how to correct, without replacing the receiver?
2 questions
Why will the dvr say one recording conflicts with another when I know it doesn't? It usually lets me set it up when one is over.
Why will on demand show 5 episodes and then there is 1 with nothing there to record it goes back to the channel and only 1 episode listed? If I set up the others to record before clicking on the corrupt one they will still record but only 1 listed..
